A poker chip graphic would not go away during the broadcast of the Minnesota Twins broadcast against the Tampa Bay Rays.
As is the case during any sports broadcast, there are bound to be errors. Sometime, they can be absolutely hilarious. Take what happened during the June 11 game between the Minnesota Twins and Tampa Bay Rays, for instance.
In the bottom of the first inning, the Bally Sports broadcast had the strike zone replaced by a graphic of a poker chip for Treasure Island Casino. No seriously, the strike zone was nonexistent. Take a look for yourselves.
As you saw, the pitch thrown by Shane Baz was outside of the poker chip, meaning that it was a ball. Just when you thought things could not get any more chaotic, the graphic moved.
In the top of the second inning, Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier hit a single past third base into left field. That is when the poker chip began following every player that was on camera. Seriously, the chip chased players!

The Twins erased a 3-0 deficit in the bottom of the third inning after Luis Arraez hit a grand slam to right field to give them a 4-3 lead. That same inning, Jose Miranda hit a double to extend their lead to 5-3.
After Tampa Bay cut Minnesota’s lead to 5-4 on an RBI single by Harold Ramirez in the top of the sixth, Jorge Polanco put another run on the board for the Twins on a single in the bottom of the inning.
Minnesota held on to win 6-5 and will now go for the series sweep with a win on Sunday, June 12. Let’s hope there are no wild poker chips that invade that game.
