Since David Yan took down the WSOP $10K Super MILLION$ High Roller, it's been a relatively quiet midweek for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online on GGPoker. Only Event #14: $2,500 Deepstack Championship has played down to a winner, while Day 2 of Event #15: $777 LUCKY SEVENS Bounty 7-Handed kicks off later today.

Russia's Almaz Zhdanov took down the deepstack championship event, outlasting a star-studded final table while Natural8 ambassador Pete Chen was found near the top of the chip counts in the bounty tournament.

Despite the more relaxed schedule, GGPoker is gearing for another huge weekend of WSOP Online action.

Just 20 of the 705 entries made it through to Day 2 in the $2.5K Deepstack Championship, with all the remaining players eager to get the lion's share of the $1,674,375 prize pool. The United Kingdom's Patrick Leonard was the Day 1 chip leader and came into the day in pole position to win his second bracelet and the $246,595 up top.

The elimination of Fan "steve zf" Zhang set up the final table which featured some of poker's top players like the aforementioned Leonard, Alex Kulev and Roland Rokita . The finalists all locked up a guaranteed payday of $27,363 for their efforts.

Rokita, who finished in 56th place in the 2022 WSOP Main Event, was the first final table casualty and was quickly joined by Gabriel Moura .

Leonard was then ousted in seventh-place and missed out on second piece of WSOP hardware. The Englishman won his first bracelet with in Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team this summer and his tag team partner was none other than 2022 WSOP Main Event Winner Espen Jorstad .

Gytis Lazauninkas (6th - $62,395), Michael "GambitPoker" Buznik (5th - $82,127), Dennys Ramos (4th - $108,097) and Kulev (3rd - $142,280) were the next batch of players to find themselves on the wrong side of the rail.

Toni "Noceur" Kaukua and Zhdanov then duked it out in heads-up play with the latter emerging victorious to claim the first-place prize and their first WSOP bracelet.
