7:49 a.m., near Highway 59, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.

8:47 a.m., near County Road 40, Menahga, multiple mailboxes damaged. The caller believes the damage may have been caused by corn stalks because many were scattered on the ground.

8:50 a.m., near Lake Park, drug related.

9:50 a.m., near Alexandria, drug related.

10:02 a.m., near County Road 129, Ponsford, possible mail theft. A caller ordered commemorative coins in October 2021 and confirmed they were received at the Osage post office before being sent to the Ponsford post office. The post office in Ponsford was unable to locate the coins.

10:25 a.m., near Detroit Lakes, $400 was stolen from a PayPal account after the caller lent a third party their phone. The case is under investigation.

12:04 p.m., at Frazee High School, a report of two juveniles fighting. One of the juveniles suffered unknown injuries and was transported to a nearby medical clinic in a private vehicle.

12:09 p.m., near Ogema, possible identity theft.

2:29 p.m., Minnesota, a caller reported a family member may be committing tribal check fraud by claiming funds from a deceased family member for multiple years.

3:36 p.m., near Detroit Lakes, a caller reported their $103 Menards rebate had been used without authorization. The case is under investigation.

4:08 p.m., near Grant Street, Detroit Lakes, a leaf blower and weed trimmer were stolen out of the bed of a pickup truck sometime overnight.

4:19 p.m., near Callaway, a leaf blower, valued at $250, was stolen from a business.

4:36 p.m., at Walmart, a phone was reported missing.

7:05 p.m., near Highway 34, a group of 4-5 juveniles were reported along the roadway making rude gestures at cars passing by. The caller stopped to tell the group they were being unsafe and was “flipped off” and told to leave by the group. The group was in the middle of the roadway, but began to disperse as law enforcement arrived. They were warned to stay off the road.

7:24 p.m., near Barbara Avenue, Detroit Lakes, a caller reported two children were outside alone and possibly too young to be left unattended. The children lived in a nearby apartment building and the call was cleared after speaking with the children’s parents.

7:37 p.m., near west Main Avenue, Frazee, a campaign sign was reported stolen.

5:34 a.m., near Audubon, domestic assault. A 22-year-old Audubon man was arrested after choking, slapping and throwing an 18-year-old Detroit Lakes woman on the floor. No injuries were reported.

6:34 a.m., near Brainard Boulevard, Detroit Lakes, report of marijuana smell in the building. Upon investigating, the officer determined the smell came from an “actual” skunk in the area.

2:10 p.m., at Walmart, Detroit Lakes, shoplifting.

3:49 p.m., at Willow Street and Roosevelt Avenue, Detroit Lakes, three-vehicle crash. No injuries.

4:12 p.m., near County Road 124, Ponsford, single-vehicle rollover with vehicle resting on its roof. The driver, a 33-year-old Ponsford woman, was found nearby and arrested for possible DWI. No injuries were reported.

2:18 a.m., near Detroit Lakes, disturbance. A 54-year-old Detroit Lakes man was arrested for violation of a protection order.

10:01 a.m., near Lake Park, assault. A caller reported a 29-year-old Lake Park woman had her glasses broken and was locked in a bathroom and by a 36-year-old Lake Park man. No injuries were reported. The case is under investigation.

11:17 a.m., near Minnesota Avenue, Detroit Lakes, past action, window damage to a mobile home.

12:34 p.m., near Randolph Road, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.

1:36 p.m., near County Road 39, Frazee, barn fire. The barn is 3,000 square feet. The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire, but was notified of the situation. The roof collapsed from the fire. The scene was cleared after about two hours.

2:32 p.m., near Detroit Lakes, a caller reported their mother may have been scammed by a home contractor. The case is under investigation.

2:28 p.m., at Detroit Lakes Middle School, two students were involved in an argument in the lunchroom. A physical altercation occurred. No injuries were reported. Parents of both students were notified. The students will be disciplined internally.

3:58 p.m., near Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.

4:27 p.m., near White Earth, a tribal check, totaling $1,335, was reported stolen. The check was cashed by an unknown party on Aug. 29. The case is under investigation.

9:23 p.m., near County Road 102 and County Road 7, Lake Park, hit-and-run involving two vehicles. The fleeing driver was cited for having no driver’s license and no proof of insurance. The case remains under investigation.
