Margaret Atwood: The Unburnable Book
Hot off the press and limited to just one “unburnable,” author Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” was produced as a single-copy special edition. The book was produced in Toronto by The Gas Company Inc. Fireproof materials and processes were researched and tested by Doug Laxdal. Atwood and Penguin Random House have partnered with the creative agency Rethink to make “The Unburnable Book,” a fireproof edition of Atwood’s frequently banned book “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
