CLEVELAND, Ohio – Corleone’s is holding a special Wine Spectator 90-plus points dinner.

The Italian restaurant is marking its 27th anniversary and its 22nd year as a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence winner with a four-course dinner 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16.

The magazine’s wine-award program, launched in 1981, covers three levels. The Award of Excellence includes a restaurant that offers at least 90 selections and features a well-chosen assortment of quality producers themed to match the menu in price and style.

All the California wines in this dinner are rated 90 points, from Napa Valley, and are 2019 vintage unless noted:

Reception: NV Decoy Brut Cuvée Méthode Champenoise, California.

First course: Grilled nectarine and goat-cheese bruschetta with honey balsamic glaze and microgreens. Wine: Cliff Lede Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc.

Second course: Seared halibut with herbed butter, lemon risotto and arugula. Wine: Brendel Noble One Chardonnay, 92 points.

Third course: Grilled lamb lollies with quince demi-glacé and charred Brussels sprouts. Wine: Decoy Limited Pinot Noir, Sonoma.

Fourth course: Flank steak braciola stuffed with prosciutto, fontina and fresh herbs in a Cabernet shallot reduction over parsnip puree. Wine: 2018 “1881 Napa” Cabernet Sauvignon.
